Hofi Mango Natural Park
Bon dia! Ricardo and I recently spent a day wandering through Hofi Mango—and wow, I can’t believe I waited so long to visit. It’s located in Bandabou, in the green region of the island, and from the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into a different world.
The place is peaceful, well-kept, and bursting with local flora. Even though it’s a nature park, it feels more like a sacred space where nature, history, and island culture come together.

🥭 the Mango Forest
The star of Hofi Mango is—no surprise—the Mango Forest. And it’s not just one or two trees; it’s an entire canopy of massive mango trees, some of them centuries old. During mango season, the air is thick with sweetness and you’ll spot ripe mangoes scattered across the ground.
It’s cool under the trees, and the way the sunlight filters through the branches? Absolutely magical.

💕 The Plaza of Love & Iconic Windmill
At the center of Hofi Mango, you’ll find the Plaza of Love. It’s a beautiful open area where you can take a breathe, take a photo, or simply enjoy the breeze. And right in the middle? A bright, yellow old windmill. It’s quirky, romantic, and just a little surreal.

⛰️ The Stairway to Heaven: Worth the Climb
Feeling adventurous? Don’t miss the Stairway to Heaven. It’s a stone staircase that leads to the Hand of God viewpoint— the highest point at Hofi Mango. Up there, you’ll get a panoramic view of Bandabou’s untouched hills, and on a clear day, you might spot Christoffelberg in the distance.
Bring water, take it slow, and trust me: the view is 100% worth it.
Extra info: There’s a bar on top of the hill

🌺 The Gardens
What really surprised me was how diverse the gardens are. Hofi Mango shows all the different sides of Curaçao:
- 🦋 Butterfly Garden: Tiny wings fluttering around you.
- 🌴 Palm Garden: A peaceful tropical grove.
- 🌵 Cactus Garden: Rugged, arid, and very Curaçao.
- ⚠️ Poison Garden: Yes, it exists! This is where you will find the poisonous manchineel trees.
Each section of the garden is educational Great for kids, plant lovers, or curious souls like us.

🍽️ Kultura Kòrsou: Local Flavors Under the Trees
After all the walking, we had lunch at Kultura Kòrsou, the outdoor restaurant at Hofi Mango. It’s shaded and has a cozy island vibe. The food? Delicious. Locally inspired with fresh ingredients—think grilled fish, funchi, mango salsas, and more. I had a mango juice that hit the spot like nothing else could.
Perfect spot to relax, recharge, and to enjoy our local cuisine.
