Curaçao, a small island in the Caribbean, is known for its clear blue waters, vibrant culture, amazing restaurants, impressive sights, and warm hospitality. Exactly all of that is what you’re going miss when you’re doing all-inclusive. Why you should not book all-inclusive in Curaçao

If you’re planning a trip to Curacao, you may be tempted to book an all-inclusive hotel for convenience. However, by doing so, you’ll be missing out on the best the island has to offer. Curacao is renowned for its diverse culinary scene, with a fusion of Caribbean, Dutch, and Latin American influences. By opting for an all-inclusive hotel, you’ll be limiting your options and missing out on the chance to try some of the island’s most delicious dishes.

Instead, venture out and discover local eateries, from food trucks serving mouthwatering street food to upscale restaurants offering gourmet cuisine.

One must-try local dish is the Keshi Yena, a cheesy baked casserole filled with chicken or beef and a variety of flavorful spices. For a refreshing drink, order a cocktail made with the island’s signature Blue Curaçao liqueur, made from the peel of the island’s native laraha fruit.

Should you book All-inclusive in Curaçao?

When should you book an all-inclusive resort?

We’re not saying that all-inclusive resorts are a bad option, in fact, Curaçao is home to several excellent resorts where you can spend your vacation carefree relaxing in the Caribbean sun.

When you are looking for relaxation and rest, all-inclusive might be for you, and let’s be honest: there are several advantages to it. So when should you book all-inclusive in Curaçao?

When you are looking for Convenience

One of the main benefits of all-inclusive is the convenience factor. With all your meals, drinks, and activities included, you don’t have to worry about planning or budgeting for your trip. This can make your vacation much more relaxing and stress-free.

When you want to pay a fixed price

All-inclusive packages can also be cost-effective, especially if you plan to stay at the resort for the entire duration of your stat. With a package, you pay a fixed price upfront, which can save you money in the long run. However, I found that it’s not always the cheaper option in Curaçao.

When you want activities close by

Many all-inclusive resorts in Curaçao offer a wide variety of activities such as water sports, yoga, and nightlife. This means you can stay entertained throughout your vacation without having to leave the resort.

When you want unlimited Food and Drinks

With all-inclusive, you can indulge in unlimited food and drinks without worrying about the bill. This can be especially beneficial for families or groups who plan on eating and drinking a lot during their trip.

Conclusion

It is not recommended to book an all-inclusive resort when planning a trip to Curaçao. This is because the island is known for its diverse culinary scene, stunning natural landscapes, and rich cultural heritage, which can all be missed out on by opting for a package.

Instead, travelers should venture out to local eateries, rent a car to explore the island’s natural beauty, and attend cultural events to experience the vibrant culture of Curaçao. However, if relaxation and convenience are a top priority, then all-inclusive resorts are a good option.

Ultimately, the decision to book all-inclusive or not depends on your individual preferences and goals for your trip.
